 Spanish Cross Championship

On February 2nd, the XLI National Cross “San Juan Evangelista” of Sonseca was held, which jointly hosted two important events: the Regional Cross Country Championship by Clubs and the Provincial Championship at School Age. The most important clubs in the region met in Sonseca, being UDAT one of the most numerous, with 113 registered athletes. All clubs with the aim of obtaining one of the places that give access to the Spanish Cross Championship.

The 26 Millas Matical, in its second season as a federated club, was classified this past weekend in Sonseca to take part in the Spanish Cross-Country Championship by Clubs that will take place in Soria next March. They finished in the eight position being one of the two teams qualified from Talavera de la Reina, it will be for the first time that Talavera has two absolute teams in the Spanish Championship. The City of Ceramics will be the only town in Castilla-La Mancha with two teams in the Absolute category.

26 Millas Matical was created by David Rodríguez from a hobby that over time become a passion, from athlete to coach. A start from scratch sustained by Matical Innovation that with dedication and time gave way to a group of athletes with a mind set on new challenges season by season.

Consolidated and united. A feeling of belonging to a group. This is how begins the development of 26 Millas MATICAL, an athletic club with a national club license. Cross country, track, route … Let’s start!
