Description

Finding anomalies in organs or tissues at an early stage is essential to delay or prevent the onset of disease. QUIBIM, a Spanish high-tech SME, is a leader in AI-assisted medical image processing and the development of imaging biomarkers. Its core product, QUIBIM Precision®, is a quantitative medical imaging platform already used in clinical and research settings to analyze lung and brain MRI and CT scans.

The EU-funded qp-Prostate project aims to enhance the platform with a new prostate-specific module designed for the analysis of prostate magnetic resonance images. This includes the integration of multiple analysis plugins tailored to prostate anatomy and pathology. The project will also cover regulatory activities necessary to obtain certifications for medical software (e.g., CE marking under MDR) and support the evaluation of the safety, performance, and clinical effectiveness of the module—key steps for market deployment and clinical adoption.
