SFTONE – VIRTRAEL is a European project funded through Cascade Funding under the PHARAON initiative. It delivers an innovative solution for cognitive stimulation in individuals over 65, combining cognitive training with serious games in 2D and 3D via a touchscreen and virtual reality app. Designed to enhance attention, memory, planning, and reasoning skills, the tool facilitates skill transfer to daily life. Developed by engineers and psychologists at the University of Granada, it integrates into the broader SFTONE teleassistance system, aimed at improving older adults’ quality of life and autonomy. The solution was deployed in pilot phases of the PHARAON project in Andalusia and Italy, emphasizing a participatory process with therapists, caregivers, and older adults to tailor cognitive stimulation to individual needs and abilities.
