European Programs in the field of Energy Efficiency and Climate Change

The EU goal to cut greenhouse gas emissions by 80–95% by 2050, presents a vision to achieve climate neutrality by 2050 through a fair transition encompassing all sectors of the economy.
Projects addressed to contributing to achieve the goals foreseen in the EU Energy Roadmap are supported by the Horizon 2020 R&D and innovation programme. H2020 will be substituted by Horizonte Europe, the new R&D an Innovation framework programme that will cover the 2021-2027 period and will account with a budget of €100 billion.
